Max Foucaut is a French-American artist and designer raised in Paris and Los Angeles, working in London.

DESiGN STYLE - All designs pursue a multicultural exploration of my upbringings: Paris born, California raised, with a London training. My design aesthetic reflects my familial French heritage from the everyday elegance of Paris and its historic architecture to the nation’s authentic countryside. Growing up in Southern California, I absorbed the beachside lifestyle which instilled in me a value for nature and the environment. My grandfathers significantly impact the Menswear I design today, from a farmer in workwear to a businessman in tailored suits. My work blends my roots and intertwines a personal narrative with values for craftsmanship and sustainability.

EARLiER LiFE, EDUCATiON, & TRAiNiNG - From a young age, drawing became a daily practice. An instinct to print illustrations on garments was born. At 14, screen printing illustrations and digital artwork became a profitable hobby. At 16, a desire to explore the construction of garments emerged. Gracefully taught how to sew and work with pattern blocks by my two French grandmothers, provided a source of answers. Completing a fashion business and garment production program in Los Angeles for two years led to self-driven, self-taught cut and sewn projects as a result of the entrepreneurial course. I gained industry experience and a thoughtful mentor in pattern drafting, garment construction, and fabric developing with a seasoned bespoke tailor in Savile Row - Mayfair for +2 years while completing the BA Menswear - Fashion Design course at Central Saint Martins in London (2023).
