BROWN COTTON TWILL
WORK TROUSERS
- MADE IN LONDON -
The double knee trouser detail originated in 19th-century industrial workwear as a practical reinforcement for laborers whose work required frequent kneeling. Tradesmen such as carpenters, miners, railroad workers, and farmers needed added durability at high-wear points, leading to an extra layer of fabric being stitched over the knee for protection and longevity.
With origins of practical utility, the double knee workwear trouser has become a symbol of durability and craftsmanship.
Our interpretation elevates the traditional double knee through precise cutting and considered construction with signature cut out pocket features transforming a reinforced utilitarian trouser into a refined design statement that balances durability with architectural intention.
